Cumberland Farms store robbed again

Burlington police are investigating a robbery that took place at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday at the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Pine Street.

Police said this was the third robbery of this location in the past week and coincides with a number of robberies in South Burlington.

Police reported the store had been robbed by a lone male suspect, described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches, thin build, wearing gray pants, a black hoodie, white sneakers and a black mask.

The suspect demanded the cash from the register and threatened the clerk with lethal force however, no weapon was displayed, police said. The suspect fled the store on foot and was not apprehended.

This is the third robbery of this location in the past week and coincides with a number of robberies in the city of South Burlington. Detectives from Burlington and South Burlington are looking at all cases, gathering evidence and looking for connections.
