Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin appears with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Thursday, September 17, in Laconia, New Hampshire, for a roundtable discussion on substance abuse.

Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin and former Gov. Madeleine Kunin are expected to campaign again for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Thursday.

The trip comes less than one week before the Feb. 9 primary election in New Hampshire, where most polls show Vermont's independent senator, Bernie Sanders, leading Clinton by double digits.

The two governors and other Vermont Democratic officials have endorsed Clinton.

Shumlin and Kunin plan to appear together on Thursday for a canvass kickoff event in Keene and meet-and-greets in Claremont and Lebanon.
