A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against a man and woman who federal authorities say were housing a heroin dealer in Bristol, court documents show.

Justin Stone, 24, and Corrin Laraway, 22, of 51 Woodland Drive, Apt. 1, have each been charged with two counts — that they conspired with others to distribute heroin and that they made their apartment available for the sale of heroin. The pair was arrested and detained after the alleged dealer, Cody Toledo, was found injured on the side of Notch Road in Lincoln on March 19.

The grand jury returned the indictment late last week ahead of an arraignment hearing scheduled Monday for both suspects. Stone and Laraway are scheduled to enter pleas to the charges during the hearing.

Stone's lawyer Michael Desautels said Sunday that his client intended to plead not guilty to the charges during the hearing. Desautels declined to comment further. An attempt to reach Laraway's lawyer, Amanda Paulino, was unsuccessful Sunday afternoon.

Stone and Laraway told authorities they received payment for allowing Toledo, who they referred to as "John," to stay in their apartment and sell heroin, an affidavit filed in March states.

Both Laraway and Stone also told to FBI authorities that they had driven "John" to Notch Road in Lincoln and left him on the side of the road, court documents show.

"What role Stone and Laraway played in the condition of Cody Toledo remains under investigation," FBI Special Agent Christopher Destito wrote in the affidavit. Toledo's exact injuries were not disclosed in the affidavit, but Destito said Toledo was not shot or stabbed.

The indictment names Stone and Laraway, but states that they conspired with each other and with people "known and unknown to the grand jury" to distribute heroin. It is unclear whether Toledo will be charged in connection in the case.

Stone and Laraway were eventually taken into custody after being found at Motel 6 in Colchester. A search of the motel room revealed several thousands of dollars in addition to a "golf ball-sized" quantity of heroin, Destito wrote.

Both suspects have been detained while their cases pend. Laraway has been jailed at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility in South Burlington, and Stone at the Northwest Regional Correctional Facility in St. Albans Town, according to an online state offender database.
