Two men arrested on drug charges in Winooski

WINOOSKI – The Winooski Police Department executed two search warrants Saturday that resulted from drug investigations within the city.

The first search warrant was executed at 61 Malletts Bay Ave. Apartment F4. Heroin, crack cocaine, two firearms, and a large amount of currency were seized. Emest Brown, 31 , of Brooklyn, N.Y., was arrested for felony possession ofheroin and lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000. bail.

Jesse McGuire, 21, of Winooski, was lodged on an outstanding Vermont warrant.

The second search warrant was executed at 74 Malletts Bay Ave. Apartment No. 1.

Police said during this search, heroin, crack cocaine, a large amount of currency, a handgun that was determined to have been stolen, and approximately 50 electronic devices that are

suspected to be stolen were seized. John Mota, 33, of Bronx, N.Y., was anested for

felony possession ofcocaine and lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Center for lack of $25,000 bail.

These investigations are still underway and more criminal charges are expected. The Winooski Police Department was assisted by the Colchester, Burlington, South Burlington, and UVM police departments.
